How Minesweeper works
Every number tells you how many mines touch that square, including diagonally. Compare nearby numbers, mark the tiles that must contain mines, and reveal the tiles that are safe. Your first move is always protected.
- Desktop players can right-click to place a flag.
- Mobile and tablet players can turn on Flag Mode, then tap hidden tiles.
- Easy, Medium, Hard, and custom board sizes are available.
Minesweeper strategy tips
Start around open areas and use confirmed information instead of guessing. When a number already touches the correct number of flags, its other neighbouring tiles are safe. Clear every non-mine tile to win.
